Biography[]
Born to a woman named Vederia on the colony planet of Anaath, Izoyen spent much of her early life on Anaath. She was a inquisitive and adventurous soul, spending much of her time exploring the area around her home, from climbing buildings to swimming through the depths of the lakes. She had soon explored the entirety of her home city as she aged into her teens, only ever meditating when there was a place she couldn’t reach or an obstacle in her path.
The largest of her path’s obstacles thus far hadn’t come in the form of a skyscraper, however. Izoyen’s mother was attacked when she was at age fourteen, and her desire to explore had suddenly come to a screeching halt. Closer to her mother than most, Izoyen was at Vederia’s side as much as she could be when she was rushed to the hospital beaten, bloodied and stabbed: a rare state to see a Tauperian in anywhere within the Tauperian empire. The wounds proved too severe for her mother to handle, but that wasn’t before Izoyen was able to hear her final words.
Her mother’s life had been commemorated weeks after her death as the first murder in Anaath in the last year, at which point Izoyen when into a deep meditative state. The loss of her mother had not been easy for her, and as many Tauperians did, she would meditate to overcome the obstacle in her path, only waking up for updates on the case, and did so for three years.
When she awoke from her dream-filled meditation, Izoyen returned with a new understanding of Vederia’s passing. She cherished the time that she had spent with her mother, and sought out the person that had taken her life. The case had become progressively colder over the years that she had spent in meditation, but over the course of the next year, Izoyen helped track down the person that had killed her mother so many years ago and bring them to justice.
In the years since then, Izoyen had studied to join the police force before doing so, moving from Anaath to wherever she was needed most, which eventually led her off of her home planet. An offer to join a science team dedicated to scouting other planets in search of suitable worlds to colonize found its way to her desk, and the same drive in her that had helped her memorize the streets of Anaath fueled her decision to accept.
